"Play like a Champion Today"
Don't you love the Notre Dame athletics slogan? I am back in the "Bend" on my semesterly pilgrimage to ND. I jumped right in last night and managed to witness Elyse's birthday keg stand. It was an initiation party for this group that Elyse was accepted in to yesterday (how perfect on her 20th!). I really wanted to do my first keg stand, but E Lo aknowleged I was wearing a skirt..... probably for the best. I have the pleasure to judge/meet Bethany's new lass tonight at Dinner. I don't know if we're going out with them after or meeting up with her "SMChicks" (pronounced smick chicks). That's the code word for girls from St. Mary's. I'll write more later on my travels in the land of the golden dome, but for now I am going to enjoy a sensation i've missed --- showering with my shoes on.

I have started a recent... ok I don't want to SAY obsession... but--obsession--with Audrey Hepburn.
A taste of my favorite "Audrey-isms" :
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”-AH
“I don't want to be alone, I want to be left alone.”- AH
"Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.”-AH
“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”-AH
"Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.”-AH
"Success is like reaching an important birthday and finding you're exactly the same." - AH

Today's Musings:
TV:
"Entourage"- I just watched it for the first time last night. It's more so a guys show than Sopranos or anything action-like because it really shows the interworkings of the guys brain in the same way that "Sex and the City" does for women. I can't totally claim to have made that connection-- It's how Connor and John introduced it to me. The spell it put on them proved to mimic the "oh lets watch one more" syndrome that my old roomates and I couldn't seem to kick.
"24"- It's hard to watch sometimes and I usually forget to catch it but I ultimately feel smarter when I turn off the TV.
"Modern Marvels"- It's on the History Channel. Wait until the bathroom technology episode is on and you'll be curious
FOOD:
*Special K Red Berries ---- mmmm:)
COOL WEBSITES:

Well Well. Here I am writing two days in a row.
Today: I worked at the Uberts (Jack and Caroline). They were both sick so it was just a lot of wiping Carolines nose and letting Jack just veg out in my lap. Since I got home i've been reading... returning e-mails.... checking flights to differant cities b/c I really have the travel bug. I am currently planning a trip to the East Coast late in may. Flights are around $100.00 to NYC --- not bad at all. I'll get to go before the Memorial Toury (I'm working at it), and hopefully have made enough money until then to not see it hurt me. Going to NYC for my first time without 200 UA kids on my side will be a mark in my cultural/travel life for sure. Although I doubt I'll get an opportunity to sing in St. Pat's this trip or get to meet the cast of Wicked.
I don't know just how many of ya'll check this but I will add some PIZAZZ. ( 10 bucks on me spelling that wrong). I probably spelled it piss ass and well thats just special.
We'll think of it as like a "Best Week Ever" or "The Daily 10". Just stuff I like, tips I have-- pretty simple.
*If you can think of a better name.... let me know. As of now i'm going to just label it "Musings".

The Lord is Risen....... He is risen indeed.
errr I mean Happy Easter.
I find a lack in signifigance in the actual rituals of Easter. It is just as important as something like pentacost, good friday, maunday thursday, Ash wednesday and yet we tagged a bunny to it and It automatically is a reason for the "C and E" people to go to church--- that is the crowd that goes to the First Community South Campus in Grandview for only Christmas Eve and Easter Morning. It's turns in to a whos who event and gets so packed that you have to get there literally an hour to 45 minutes before to get a good seat. It puts that extra pressure on the clergy to make a killer sermon (Rev. Wing's rocked today), and we bring the columbus symphony to add that extra assurance that this service is special.
The weekend was all in all turbulant but enjoyable. The ability to spend time with my friends home from school is always treasured and taken advantage of. Poppy also came and I just have to say that thank god the Masters are on because I don't know what else to do with poppy. He's been here for four days and there is only so many political issues to discuss, or games of solitare to play. He was an avid golfer until his 80's so i'm able to sit with him during the hours of golf and read and play on my laptop and feel like i'm being a good granddaughter.
I realized how much I love my friends when Elyse and Laura endured watching scenes from the Sound of Music TWO nights in a row with me. It was on TV both nights and it has that mezmerizing quality that we can't seem to draw ourselves from. I just don't get why I want to be a Von Trapp child so badly but it has plauged me for quite a long time now.
oh yeah I got a Staph Infection? It's so weird. My finger puffed up- I got the flu for an hour, it started spreading but getting less intense and then has been slowly healing. I would bitch about it more but it feels good now and I don't want to relive the trauma feeling as if your finger is going to blow up.
Easter Parade is on now... Mom won control of the remote. My favorite alchy actress Judy Garland is starring so i'll give it a whirl.
