My summer-long sabbital is over! This week is my self proclaimed last week of summer. I know a lot of people consider this week the last anyways (Labor Day). I call it self proclaimed because after next monday only the OSU kids will be around (and I have to put away my white shoes). Also I still have this coming weekend to work at camp. I'm doing LIFE Guard with Joey woooo. I always LOVED doing guard at family camp and I think i'll love even more getting the opportunity to lead.
Callie Jean Wulf left tonight for Spain. My last words to her were "I'm just afraid you won't come home". Anyone want to predict how many men she'll fall in love with? 5? 6? I have my money on 5 (one for each month). Ohhh just teasing. Cal and Jimmy have plans to travel to Casablana, Morocco this weekend. I guess that sounds fun if you like the whole traveling with one of your best friends to an exotic european city. Personally I think Logan, OH is just as scenic.
More current affairs/catching up on this thing later. Also, we have a new reader..... Nico? God bless you, and cute flowers.

Add this to the "Kuhman, I don't believe you" vault of stories:
Yesterday I got catcalled by a golfer that was hanging out by the caddyshack. Because that happens often with the caddies I justlooked and saw it was someone in Yellow pants. Later in the day I saw the player in in the yellow pants was actually Sergio Garcia, a very good golfer. Funny enough today while Elyse and I were taking some wristbands back to our temp. office for the week we stopped by the putting green to watch Sergio putt around. One thing led to another and SERGIO SENT OVER HIS CADDY TO ASK ME AND ELYSE TO DINNER. SERGIO GARCIA. He called and we told him if he was serious we would be game tommorrow. Obviously that was ok so I HAVE A DATE WITH SERGIO GARCIA. THE PRO GOLFER SERGIO GARCIA.......... This all has to sink in. I'm including pictures of him because I am still gushing.

Things I'm really liking right now: (in no particular order)
- the book "The 12 Secrets of Highly Creative Women"
- the fact that I got to work on a music video with Hank, Jeff , Chad and Colin yesterday
-Connor Wiggins Kinsey
-White Wine.... (I forced myself to drink red with dinner while out this week.... yuckaroo)
-Odd Musical Collaborations. Ex. Sting with Bone Thugs, Tupac and Elton John
-La Chatalaine
-Wearing my hair in pigtail braids
- Using Method's "french lavender" scented cleaning products
-Using Nail polish as a paint..... it works better than you think.
I just had one of those "hey i'm really happy" moments and writing these made me even happier! You should do it.... dare you---In fact----double dog dare you.

A few things;
.....Go read "Gift from the Sea" by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. It's a really old book published in 1955, but only 128 pages and soothing to read. For a couple weeks my "readers block" kicked in where I start 6 books but have trouble finishing one (ok some may call it my ADD) but Anne hooked me and I finished it in a DAY.
..... I have one more week with all of my kids, a week at Muirfield, and then AKITA.
.....I stayed overnight with Quin, Connor and Trent this week while their parents were in France.... boy was that an adventure. Within the first hour Connor lit a pencil on fire for fun while I was on the tredmill. Another highlight was battleing with him to shower for a good 40 minutes and literally locking him in the bathroom until he did shower. Gotta love 10 year olds, right?
.... I have been voluntarily working a lot at the Hauswirths because I not only have fallen in love with Charlie, but Wendy has proven to be 10 times cooler than I had ever judged in her 3 years married to Dave. In fact.... I have to get over there right now.
Have a good weekend!

Has anyone seen the commercial for MasterCard Pay Pass with the elephant? IT'S ADORABLE---My new favorite for sure.
sidenote: Right after the cute elephant commercial, there was a preview for a Judge Mathis about a 70 year old prostitute that looked like one of the substitutes at UA.... I wonder.......

Highlights of May thus far..........
* TUESDAY afternoon I decided to move a stack of books off the coffee table so I could put my feet up and watch Oprah. Instead I knocked a free weight over that tumbled directly on to my toe. I like to think that I hobble gracefully and bring a new sexy to my medical boot.
*THURSDAY I visited my friends at the friendly Mac Store “Genius Bar”. Lilly (my iMac) had a bunch of random things to get tuned up. The good news is I think most of the repairs will be covered by my Apple Care. The bad news is, Stan (the genius that took care of us) had to send Lilly away because they don’t install the hinges at the store. Point of the story.... i’m without laptop until next friday.
* FRIDAY night Jessie, Laura, Callie and I somehow ended up alone in a room singing karaoke. I whipped out my show tunes voice and did a solo kick line while singing “New York, New York”. It resembled the choreography from UAHS Fall Follies 2003....... The odds that next party karaoke is blocked? Extremely Likely.
* Callie and Maggie are home....... YUEEESSSS
* SATURDAY Armed in pearls and Mint Julep supplies Callie and I joined Connor and John to watch the Derby. Advice for next year: Don’t attempt to buy mint at a major grocery store an hour before the Race. Also, mint flavoring doesn’t cut it when you are dealing with Jim Beam.
Post Derby I committed a DUI (Dressing Under the Influence).
My Outfit:
-My mom’s Talbot's white bermuda shorts
-A Red and Black Wool Poncho bought on the Tijuana boarder
-My J.Crew “critter” flip flips, these with whales on them
It was a good Cinco de Mayo.
Viva Mexico and always remember the Alamo.

"Play like a Champion Today"
Don't you love the Notre Dame athletics slogan? I am back in the "Bend" on my semesterly pilgrimage to ND. I jumped right in last night and managed to witness Elyse's birthday keg stand. It was an initiation party for this group that Elyse was accepted in to yesterday (how perfect on her 20th!). I really wanted to do my first keg stand, but E Lo aknowleged I was wearing a skirt..... probably for the best. I have the pleasure to judge/meet Bethany's new lass tonight at Dinner. I don't know if we're going out with them after or meeting up with her "SMChicks" (pronounced smick chicks). That's the code word for girls from St. Mary's. I'll write more later on my travels in the land of the golden dome, but for now I am going to enjoy a sensation i've missed --- showering with my shoes on.

I have started a recent... ok I don't want to SAY obsession... but--obsession--with Audrey Hepburn.
A taste of my favorite "Audrey-isms" :
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”-AH
“I don't want to be alone, I want to be left alone.”- AH
"Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.”-AH
“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”-AH
"Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.”-AH
"Success is like reaching an important birthday and finding you're exactly the same." - AH

Today's Musings:
TV:
"Entourage"- I just watched it for the first time last night. It's more so a guys show than Sopranos or anything action-like because it really shows the interworkings of the guys brain in the same way that "Sex and the City" does for women. I can't totally claim to have made that connection-- It's how Connor and John introduced it to me. The spell it put on them proved to mimic the "oh lets watch one more" syndrome that my old roomates and I couldn't seem to kick.
"24"- It's hard to watch sometimes and I usually forget to catch it but I ultimately feel smarter when I turn off the TV.
"Modern Marvels"- It's on the History Channel. Wait until the bathroom technology episode is on and you'll be curious
FOOD:
*Special K Red Berries ---- mmmm:)
COOL WEBSITES:
http://www.lime.com/
-A Website about healthy living in general anything from staying fit, sleeping, products that have minimal chemicals -- you get it.
http://hiptranquilchick.com/podcastblog.html
-The Blog/Podcast that is my bible. Think Real simple magazine +cosmo +oprah +shape. It's great, look for my comments on her past blogs:)

Well Well. Here I am writing two days in a row.
Today: I worked at the Uberts (Jack and Caroline). They were both sick so it was just a lot of wiping Carolines nose and letting Jack just veg out in my lap. Since I got home i've been reading... returning e-mails.... checking flights to differant cities b/c I really have the travel bug. I am currently planning a trip to the East Coast late in may. Flights are around $100.00 to NYC --- not bad at all. I'll get to go before the Memorial Toury (I'm working at it), and hopefully have made enough money until then to not see it hurt me. Going to NYC for my first time without 200 UA kids on my side will be a mark in my cultural/travel life for sure. Although I doubt I'll get an opportunity to sing in St. Pat's this trip or get to meet the cast of Wicked.
I don't know just how many of ya'll check this but I will add some PIZAZZ. ( 10 bucks on me spelling that wrong). I probably spelled it piss ass and well thats just special.
We'll think of it as like a "Best Week Ever" or "The Daily 10". Just stuff I like, tips I have-- pretty simple.
*If you can think of a better name.... let me know. As of now i'm going to just label it "Musings".

The Lord is Risen....... He is risen indeed.
errr I mean Happy Easter.
I find a lack in signifigance in the actual rituals of Easter. It is just as important as something like pentacost, good friday, maunday thursday, Ash wednesday and yet we tagged a bunny to it and It automatically is a reason for the "C and E" people to go to church--- that is the crowd that goes to the First Community South Campus in Grandview for only Christmas Eve and Easter Morning. It's turns in to a whos who event and gets so packed that you have to get there literally an hour to 45 minutes before to get a good seat. It puts that extra pressure on the clergy to make a killer sermon (Rev. Wing's rocked today), and we bring the columbus symphony to add that extra assurance that this service is special.
The weekend was all in all turbulant but enjoyable. The ability to spend time with my friends home from school is always treasured and taken advantage of. Poppy also came and I just have to say that thank god the Masters are on because I don't know what else to do with poppy. He's been here for four days and there is only so many political issues to discuss, or games of solitare to play. He was an avid golfer until his 80's so i'm able to sit with him during the hours of golf and read and play on my laptop and feel like i'm being a good granddaughter.
I realized how much I love my friends when Elyse and Laura endured watching scenes from the Sound of Music TWO nights in a row with me. It was on TV both nights and it has that mezmerizing quality that we can't seem to draw ourselves from. I just don't get why I want to be a Von Trapp child so badly but it has plauged me for quite a long time now.
oh yeah I got a Staph Infection? It's so weird. My finger puffed up- I got the flu for an hour, it started spreading but getting less intense and then has been slowly healing. I would bitch about it more but it feels good now and I don't want to relive the trauma feeling as if your finger is going to blow up.
Easter Parade is on now... Mom won control of the remote. My favorite alchy actress Judy Garland is starring so i'll give it a whirl.

March...wehhheew. I spent today nudgeing spring to come by working in the sunshine outdoors. Sadly all I achieved was a cold, and a sore back.
I'm in bed-- just took a muscle relaxer and hoping to fall asleep. I will update tomorrow because I read that the affect a computer screen has on your brain drains the "good" sleep" you will get the rest of the evening. I don't know if it's true, but I really do fall asleep faster when I read the fiction book of my choice. non-fiction gets me starting to analyze things and dreams are supposed to be devilishly surreal right?
I get to baby-sit for my little devils tomorrow, Jack and Caroline:)

I'm plopped on my yoga mat, still with like 15 candles on either side of me still burning from my practice earlier. Basically -- It doens't get much better than this. Yoga is so situational. Most of the time I like doing it right when I wake up because then the entire day you are feel lean and are more agile. But then there are times at night that yoga just is the only thing to do to let out the day. I didn't really have a tough day but my muscles feel really werid because I had my first powerwalk while pushing 2 children in a stroller. I decided mid-walk that I am for sure going to plan my children around the weather so that I can lose the baby weight simply by pushing a stroller. It's TOUGH (sidenote, that will be nowhere in the near future). I think when it gets warm I want to start wearing running clothes and running with caroline and jack, I mean arm workout AND running? Screw eliptical machines.
I sound like a neurotic exercise-aholic. Next subject: Missy is coming home next weekend. I'm so excited for her to come without Josh. All 4 Kuhman's under one roof is a rarity that needs to be savored and for sure I will record some crazy stories from that weekend. This weekend is creeping up already. I have my first "event" as Connor's girlfriend, let's hope I behave/refrain form embarressing him. It's a Charity Auction that the MBA program at OSU has. I don't know what to expect considering Connor is one of the youngest and one of the only "Americans". If I end up taking shots with an old asian lady I will alert you all immediatly. I'm going to go get hot choc. and read my new favorite book "Three Black Skirts". Gooood Night

I'm watching My Best Friend's Wedding and I forgot how much I LOVE this movie. I've been caught twice now flipping through the channels recently and stopping in my tracks because I love the movie so much. the other movie that made me late to church on Sunday was ironically "Keeping the Faith", with Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman. It was sooo cute and i really reccomend you all to check it out.
Well this month has gone, interestingly. I chose not to write last week because I was so frustrated with the world. I did write last time and I got in trouble from my mother for sounding "trashy" because of my use of the F word. To make a long story short OSU main campus didn't work because I had to apply as a Freshman b/c I can't get my transcript from IU until I pay off my loans. I didn't send my ACT/SAT b/c as a transfer student you didn't need to, but I missed that detail as a Freshman. I got in to Newark but because I can transfer in no problem with my IU stuff in the fall to the Main Campus I am going to get rid of my math, Science and econ with courses at Columbus State online. I really do reccoment you all to look in to columbus state just because It's SO cheap. I mean if you are going to just take a course to get it done might as well pay the least amount and save your precious tuition money for courses that really affect you.
Other points of interest:
-Callie was in town, snowed in and I think (hopefully) is staying until Wednesday. Yesterday we plopped in her basement watching E! and catching up on all the detail-y stuff that you forget to say during bi-weekly phone conversations. I miss her so much and i'm really trying to value the time with her because she'll be on her tour of the latin world soon. In June she goes to Hondouras, and in September She'll be in Spain with Jimmy all Fall. Hopefully this will safeguard her falling for any spanish salsa dancers.
-Everyone is now hired for Akita and the summer looks AMAZING.
-Valentines day is keeping me perplexed on what to get Connor. It's so hard when the relationship is new, but you were friends first. What gift is too "scary", but not just some random book. I think I am going to get him a massage at a spa because he is so stressed with school. That seems thoughtful and still allows him to benefit completely. hmmm I wonder what i'm getting:)
Have a happy valentines day:) I'm spending the actual day with my real valentine, my mom<3

I think I am going to get him a massage at a spa because he is so stressed with school. That seems thoughtful and still allows him to benefit completely. hmmm I wonder what i'm getting:)
Have a happy valentines day:) I'm spending the actual day with my real valentine, my mom<3
